This weekend, various members of the SG Team along with an army of little helpers, gave up their Saturday to volunteer for Living Woods North East. Thank goodness the sun was shining! 

The event, co-ordinated by Living Woods North East on behalf of Gateshead Council, was to form part of the newly established North East Community Forest at the Whitehills site. The Whitehills site is not far from the QE hospital at Felling, so a stones throw from our offices in Low Fell. It was an opportunity for us to get our hands dirty, share our knowledge and experience, as well as improving the air quality, reducing our carbon footprint and supporting the sustainability and growth of our local area. 

We were privileged to be part of the event, and hope to be involved in many more events to come.
