This National celebration falls right in the middle of the official “Month of Gardening”, and this year is on 16th May.
Trees play an irreplaceable role in the functioning, wellbeing and health of our lives and environment, and celebrating this special day is the least we can do to show some appreciation for the amazing job they do.
Trees can be thousands of years old and have an extensive life span, with some traced back to the creation of the world.
There are so many benefits to trees, they provide us with food, oxygen, a home for wildlife, heating, building materials and so much more. Trees form an essential part to our environment, past present and future, and with the increased awareness of environmental and sustainable lifestyles, dedication to protecting our trees is becoming increasingly common.
Over the last couple of years we are proud to have planted over 10,000 trees across the UK, varying in scale from mature trees recently planted at Queens Garden in Hull to site wide woodland planting at The South Ormsby Estate in Lincolnshire.
See below for some amazing shots taken by our team, showing some well-deserved tree appreciation.
