Day 1 of 2, for the SG Volunteer Team at Seaton Delaval Hall, National Trust.
Our dedicated and multi-talented team volunteered some time to assist with the ongoing maintenance of the Heritage Fund scheme at Seaton Delaval Hall yesterday. The scheme was Highly Commended in the Constructing Excellence National Awards this year, after winning the regional award in the Conservation and Regeneration Category. Ongoing and high quality maintenance of any landscape or design is integral to the success of the vision and design long term.
Luckily the sun was shining and it was an opportunity for the team to have a change of scenery, get some North East fresh air in their lungs, and very much get some hands on grass roots experience, which in the field of Landscape Architecture can sometimes be very rare. We always jump at the opportunity to get our hands dirty!
Fantastic feedback from the client was received, making opportunities like this all the more worthwhile and rewarding and it was also a fantastic opportunity for some of the more experienced members of the team to share knowledge, experience, and CPD.
"Wow - thank you so much for organising that" "Truly amazing results" "Todays work is going to really help the staff and volunteers keep on top of things now. Thank you".
Next session of volunteering updates to follow soon!
