Working alongside The Sport, Leisure and Culture Consultancy (SLC) Southern Green prepared a masterplan for Barnet Playing Fields. The masterplan proposes a range of recreational facilities around a new community hub, including a café, play area, skate park, MUGA and outdoor gym.  A new Gaelic Football pitch is also included, together with changing facilities and existing pitches which have been refurbished to comply with current Sport England guidance.

The masterplan conserves and enhances the site’s nature conservation interest designation, in particular the Dollis Valley woodland, mature oak trees, and remnant hedgerows.  Attractive views to the south across Dollis Valley over the wider countryside were also conserved.  A coordinated green infrastructure plan to link the two recreational areas either side of Dollis Brook, will provide new planting to create an attractive setting to site.
