Southern Green was invited to prepare designs for the gardens as part of the restoration of this large, detached home in rural Durham. The proposals included masterplanning of the whole site to create a variety of garden spaces around the property, including a fernery, an orchard, a rose garden and a lavender walk.

A major part of the work was the development of designs for the new terrace, along with construction details for new stone balusters and the grand staircase. The detailed proposals also included bespoke designs for a stone pool and lower terrace.
