Trinity Gardens involved the preparation of a masterplan and detailed landscape proposals for a mixed-use development comprising flagship offices, apartments, hotel and a multi-storey car park in the centre of the Quayside. It also included a new public square integrating a sculpture by Peter Randall-Page and a series of terraced gardens.
Southern Green was responsible for the design and detailing of all hard and soft landscape elements, and was involved closely in the realisation of works on site. The public spaces and sculpture won six awards including the Marsh Award for Public Sculpture 2006, Worshipful Company of Paviors National Paviors Award for Excellence in the Design and Construction of Paving 2007, Local Government News National Award for Pedestrian Environment 2007, Hadrian Design Award 2007, Lord Mayors Design Award for Landscape 2007 and Civic Trust Award for public spaces 2008.
