This much-loved community park in the East Riding of Yorkshire but was in need of an overhaul to refurbish its bandstand, pavilion, bowling lobby and historic park entrance gates, as well as needing repairs to its footpath network and drainage system and the revitalisation of soft landscaping.  

The award of an HLF 'Parks for People' grant enabled this to happen, and Southern Green was appointed to develop detailed design proposals for the works, as well as to oversee construction works on site.  The project was completed in spring 2014 and the park now boasts a new cafe in the pavilion and stunning flower beds, including a new collection of heritage roses.
