Southern Green worked collaboratively with Three Rivers District Council and Warner Bros to develop successful Round 1 and 2  HLF Heritage Grants Bids for a Heritage Trail in Leavesden Country Park, a 27 hectare park located in Abbots Langley, Hertfordshire.   

The sculpture trail focuses on three main themes: minds, machines and movies, reflecting the aesthetic, artistic, architectural and historic heritage of Leavesden Hospital, Leavesden Aerodrome and Leavesden Studios. The combination of these diverse types of heritage is rare in a project and provides an unusual opportunity for restoration and interpretation. ‘Leavesden Hospital’ is used to incorporate the Asylum, Canadian Hospital, Abbots Langley General Hospital and St Pancras Orphanage/Workhouse. 

Proposals were also developed to restore historic features remaining from the hospital gardens including planting, paths, boundary walls, and works to the cemetery as well as a memorial garden and a new heritage wildlife centre
