Southern Green prepared hard and soft landscape design proposals for this significant regeneration project, consisting of 1200 new homes in the west end of Newcastle.

The objective of the scheme was to bring about a ‘step change’ in what had become a deprived area, taking advantage of the Tyne Valley views and capitalising on the dramatic level changes within the site to produce an exciting and distinctive community environment.

Recycled aggregates and reclaimed materials are combined with specimen native trees and swathes of contemporary planting to create a series of unique and memorable communal spaces throughout the development.
